Still cold and rainy. Still, I spent three hours at the local MoveOn.org offices, trying to rally voters for Tuesday. Grubby, bare-bones office, forty or so people, long lists of names and numbers. But it feels good do feel like you're doing something, even if it's just calling people to remind them to vote. The people were a wide range of ages and eths and styles (I'm thinking of the handsome black guy with short dreads and a ring in his nose, chatting with a woman in her seventies in the sort of stylish black pantsuit you'd find in the Signals catalog), but all of them are passionate about the possibility of getting back control of Congress. Who knows. Maybe we've made a difference. At least we tried.
