We actually have left over ham and pound cake, and a bit of the vegetarian chili. No less a culinary sharper than [livejournal.com profile] desperance gave the chili his seal of approval, which kind of made my night. Poor Emily wandered about barking and hoping for food that never came.

I have drunk, but not too much. I have eaten only a bit too much (and there's a smidge of lox left over for breakfast! Yay!). The house is mostly clean and Danny is working ont he rest of it. Occasionally the World's Most Gorgeous 16-year-old came downstairs to be sociable, then retreated upstairs to study for finals.

And now we head toward Christmas. Did I tell you I've been hired (which is to say, they're paying for materials) to make 3 cakes for Avocado's Winter Ball next Saturday. I expect to sleep the sleep of the very tired woman tonight, to be ready for cake making on the morrow.

But for now, everyone seemed to have a good time, and I am pleased. And my feet don't hurt tooooo much.
