TV and Cookies

madrobinsTonight I go down to San Jose to answer phones for KTEH's pledge drive. The Northern California chapter of Mystery Writers of America arranges to do this once a year or so--both as a mitzvah and as a promotional opportunity. It's fun, and in the past Sarcasm Girl has come down (she may not tonight, because she's being slammed with homework and prep for the Mock Trial state finals). Of course, getting down there on time involves a complex series of negotiations: when can I pick up another box of Girl Scout Cookies for this weekend's sales; what time should I pick up YG and (depending on whether Sarcasm Girl comes with or stays behind) should I drop her off at her father's office on the way down, or let him come home on his own to hang with the kid; and remembering to bring copies of the books for display and auctioning off. Anyone who's local enough to pull in KTEH's signal, we should be on this evening, during Mystery!. I can't swear you'll see me, but I'll be there.
Tomorrow is my writer's workshop meeting; plus YG has skating and needs to touch base with a couple of her last-time big Cookie buyers. Sunday, Cookie booth. And sometime over the weekendclaireeddy will be hitting town, which will be a lovely thing.
