So I ran some of my work through the silly meme generator. Just as I suspected: I write different ways for different projects. I ran text from three different things--the current WIP, an old short story, and one of the unfinished Sarah Tolerance projects. The results?

* the current WIP, is apparently written like Harry Harrison. WTF? Really?

* in the old short story ("Somewhere in Dreamland Tonight") I am apparently channelling Kurt Vonnegut. Maybe because it's written partly in present tense? I cannot think of any other reason.

* and, utterly unsurprisingly, when I'm writing Miss Tolerance I'm sounding like Jane Austen.

In fact, in all three cases, I'm writing like me. Just with different voices and moods. Or something.

ETA: I ran Jane Austen through the thing--she writes like Shakespeare. And Vonnegut writes like Stephen King. I shall retire to a nunnery and bang my head against the wall.
