Went to see the dental implant guy today. He's now suggesting that I get two not-covered-by-dental-insurance implants rather than one, for the ultimate betterment of my mouth. Plus pulling off the old old old double-molar crown because he suspects something evil is going on in there. And there will be new crowns and rings and things and fine array. I may have to sell the children in order to afford all this work.

Sigh. Being a grownup is full of suck.
