Wiscon Schedule
18/5/09 08:59I'm heading off to Madison on Wednesday. Yay! And here's my schedule:
Saturday, 10am Bookview Cafe: A New Venture in Publishing - Conference 5
In which Nancy Jane Moore, Sylvia Kelso, Jennifer Stevenson and I talk about getting the project up and running.
Saturday, 4pm Bookview Cafe: New Paradigms - Michelangelo's
Readings by the Bookview Cafe contingent above. I'm still trying to decide what to read. Come be surprised.
Saturday, 10:30-11:45 What Gender Is Your Roomba? Assembly
In which Heidi Waterhouse, Hari Mirchi, Ann Leckie, and I discuss gender and robots and androids. Anthropomorphism? Behavioral engineering? Cultural markers? Hmm.
Sunday, 4pm Dear Writer: I Don't Want Kids - Capitol B
Linda McAllister, Jessica Reisman, Isabel Schechter, and me. I seem to be the only panelist with kids, which should guarantee that my POV is different from everyone else's--but may not.
I'm looking forward to all of it, but mostly I'm looking forward to my first Wiscon, and to seeing all the people I don't see enough of. If I know you only from LJ, please please please come say hi.
