We Be Slugs

Even the dog slept late. Poor Emily, exhausted by company (one of them with a beard, which seems to worry her) all day yesterday, didn't go out until 12:30 this afternoon, and didn't have breakfast until after that. She is now off at the park, purging herself of YaYas.
I am still in my nightgown; woke up with sniffles and a sore neck (the glands, not the surface of the throat, you see) and decided I would, for once, exercise intelligence and caution, and have moved very little since then.
Excellent Christmas: everyone liked what they got (Avocado, whose big gift was a tiny digital camera, hasn't stopped taking photos of us all in the last 24 hours). I got a really cool book of fondant "motifs" and cake decorating ideas--it's nice to have a hobby, which makes it so easy for people to shop for me. And then the lovely sister- and brother-in-law and their kids came, and there was much turkey and reveling, plus gluten-free pumpkin pie and spice cake (the apple pie was gluten-rich, but my celiac s-i-l was filled with joy at having her choice of two baked things! We also turned them on to Doctor Horrible, so we've done our bit for pop culture.
Tomorrow I intend to be functional again. Today--hell with it. Other than feeding a friend's cat, I'm stayin' in bed, and the Young can feed themselves. We happen to have a bite or two of turkey left over.
