A Few Notes

madrobinsI am back. Will report more fully tomorrow, but for now a few notes.
1) Having spent most of the afternoon looking out the window of an airplane, I have decided that if the US decides to undertake some WPA-like projects, we could do worse than to paint the names of the states large enough so that they can be seen from 32000 feet, like a map.
2) I saw hundreds of wind turbines somewhere in Colorado (I think it was Colorado--east of the Rockies, but not a huge amount east). They look beautiful--but huge. From 32000 feet I could still see the arms turning.
3) From what I observed, Baby Mama doesn't look like it would have been improved by listening to the dialogue.
4) Colin Powell has come out for Obama.
5) Avocado has decided to be Alice (the Tenniel Alice, not the Disney).
