Post Graduate Cakery

madrobinsTonight Avocado is the Scout of the Day, and I was instructed (by A) to make a cake (which means I made two, cause there're a lot of Girl Scouts). This one is a chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream frosting.
The spiders and bats are molded sugar. I'm kinda pleased with them.
And here's the second cake: yellow, with chocolate buttercream (my first chocolate buttercream! Go me.) I kinda like the way I piped in eyes on the skulls. And since I had spiders and bats left over from the first cake, I added some of those on the sides.
Of course, every Girl Scout is going to want a whole skull, or a whole spider. I'll have to bring a hammer to break them up and sprinkle them over the cake as I serve it.
