I'm not sure where today went. Ever have days like that?
Woke up, cuddled the dog (who is still very "don't go anywhere I love you I love you you're not taking me back to the Spa again are you?" insecure). The electrician came (electrician seemed unnervingly innocent of the ways of under-cabinet lighting). I went out and bought the under cabinet lights, which seems to have helped things somewhat. Went out again for a lengthy (2 and a half hour) meeting with a client on a freelance project which appears to be drawing to a close. Came home. Intervened on the side of common sense: beloved Brother in Law is having his 50th birthday party tonight, and we were expected...but Spouse is fighting off something, and Avocado and I are bushed from all our jollity. And the party is--did I mention?--an hour and a half drive away. So I called, sent our love, and begged off. Went off on a fact-finding mission about molding and tile, hit the market, and returned to a microwave dinner.
Monday night we have to slay the taxes.
But tomorrow Sarcasm Girl returns from her soujourn abroad, and will be full of jetlag and stories. Can't wait to see her bonny face.
