madrobins: It's a meatloaf. Dressed up like a bunny. (citibit)
Last night Becca had her friend Eryn stay over, since they were going down to the Pride celebrations this morning.  Then Bec's cousin called and asked if she and some friends could crash.  Then she called and said never mind.  Then she called back and said, yes, please.  I was under the impression that the second group would be coming in late, but no: cousin and her posse appeared at 8pm and after pluming themselves, they all (Bec, Eryn, and the other five girls) went out.  Everyone was home by 1 (which is a blessing).

This morning I got up and made crepes with strawberries (this is an easy way to feed a bunch of people, and they feel like they're getting something special.  I recommend it).  There was then an intense period of grooming and glamorizing.  Finally, just before noon, cousin and posse left, colorfully decked and made up.  Somewhere in there Julie arrived with her sweetie and a friend in tow, all of them dressed for the day (Joe was particularly glamorous in a pink wig!).  I went to the farmers' market and then Danny and I went to Costco.  By the time we got home everyone except the dog was gone. Then Danny took Emily to the park.

Sure is quiet here.
