madrobins: It's a meatloaf. Dressed up like a bunny. (citibit)
Yesterday while I was at work in Palo Alto, it poured, poured, poured down on us like someone had a fire hose aimed straight at the roof, pulsing high and low in 1 minute cycles. Soggy. Meanwhile, in San Francisco, 30 odd miles away, there was barely a trickle after about 10am. And there I was in Palo Alto, fretting about the household New Driver, who was borrowing the car in the afternoon. I think she thought I'd lost my mind, sending her texts admonishing her to be careful on the road.

At 1 pm or so, even in Palo Alto, the rain stopped, the skies cleared, and it was a beautiful autumn day--at least from the ankles up. The climates, they are small but mighty in these here parts.
