Fed the immediate local family (which is to say, Danny, Becca, Bec's friend Vivie, who is our adopted kid--her family is Chinese, they celebrate none of the common American holidays, so Viv comes here for turkey and so forth--and myself), and then had a slightly larger dessert gathering (the above plus Julie and her sweetie. All the dishes got done, Emily got dragged, the turkey (courtesy of Danny's workplace, which gives out a free range organic turkey to each employee) is still mostly meaty. There will be serious leftovers.

Today, other than buying bread and tomatoes for sandwiches, is sacred to not doing much at all. Hope y'all fared well.

I suppose we should be thankful that our faces did not freeze this way. This appears to be the result of tryptophan intoxication. That's my story, anyway.

Decided to get a little arty with the crust this year. The art did not, thankfully, interfere with the basic applepieness of the endeavor, so everyone was pleased.
