Danny's laid up with his healing foot (foot surgery last Tuesday), and Avocado will be in Santa Clara most of the weekend, at a Junior Statesman event (honest to God, the kid came home from a World Affairs Council mentorship meeting tonight burbling about wanting to work for the CIA. I cannot keep up, I just can't).
Emily, staunch hound, will be here to take care of Danny and defend the household honor. She'd better defend Danny, since he's the one who knows how to operate the can opener.
