I Like My Job

...for many reasons, but not least this. Yesterday around 10am, the president rang the gong to summon us all in to the bleacher area for a meeting. So we shuffle in, and Matt says, "You know, we've had a really crazy month, and you've all been terrific. So I think, to celebrate that we made it through the month, everyone should leave early today. And maybe go see a movie. In fact, if you want want to go see Mission Impossible, I'm buying."

So he did, and we did, and it was splendid. It was really fun sitting in a theatre with my co-workers, watching the film and feeling like we'd been rewarded for dealing with the deadline chaos of the last few weeks. How often does that happen?
