Betwixt and Between being two outlying duchies in the Kingdom of Wisdom, to the east of the Doldrums and slightly south of Ham Under Hill*.

So I've turned in both books. I am waiting for editorial notes/revision requests on both books. I am waiting writers' group feedback on "The Boy Who Played Air Guitar," and I am 1600 words into "Invisible." And I am trying to figure out what I should write next. By which I mean, what Big Thing I should write next. Before people start clamoring "MORE SARAH TOLERANCE" (which I totally adore hearing. Seriously, I do)...I could do that. But I don't know if Tor/Forge, having seen "The Salernitan Women," is going to want another historical from me. I have this San Francisco-based present day fantasy I want to write. And at this exact moment none of these things is seizing me by the back of the head and screaming WRITE ME NOW! although they're all buying me drinks and batting their eyelashes seductively.

So I'm just sort of trying to figure out what comes next. I could start writing one of them and just go on until I hit a point where I don't want to be writing that right now, then skip to another. I could just give in and do another Sarah Tolerance and let the rest of it go. The scenery is pretty here in Betwixt and Between, but it leaves me pretty indecisive.
