madrobins: It's a meatloaf. Dressed up like a bunny. (Default)
Researchers potching around in a closet of the courthouse in Cochise County, Arizona, found an envelope containing the original, handwritten transcripts of testimony from the coroner's inquest after the gunfight at the O.K. Corral. It's just about a blow-by-blow (or shot-by-shot) record of the gunfight; there were photocopies extant, but they were badly degraded. This find will allow researchers to figure out what the bald patches and blurs in the photocopies actually said.

Digital copies of the documents may show up on the internet within the next week or so. I just think this is cool.
