Last night I picked up 1008 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies. 33% Thin Mints, 24% Samoas, and between 6-10% of each of the remaining six flavors (okay, the new flavor, Thank You Berry Munch, was only 3%). [livejournal.com profile] klages, whose car I borrowed and who accompanied me in a non-lifting capacity for this rite of late winter, estimates that we now have something like 2,500,000 calories sitting downstairs in the garage.

Deliveries of pre-orders for the next week. Then, booth sale season opens. I surely hope the rain has run its course by then.

Coffee. This morning. All over my keyboard.

Mopped everything up, things seemed to be forgiving. Then the E stopped working. Then the L got stuck. When it was time for me to head downtown for my lunch date I put the laptop in sleep mode. It now will not wake up. When I pulled the battery (the hardest reboot of which I am capable) and restarted the laptop the fan spun up busily, but no other signs of life.

I know I need a new laptop; this one has soldiered on bravely for Lo, these Many Years. But this isn't a good time to need a new laptop.

At least, thanks to Time Machine, I have a totally up to date backup (except for the edits I did this morning, which is a loss but not a critical one).
