No Me at Amazon
4/2/10 08:23Despite Amazon's claim to have "caved" to Macmillan's big-bad-bullying (from my perspective Amazon did the bullying first, so this is just a wee bit disingenuous) I note that no Macmillan authors are purchasable via Amazon yet. Since they appear to have disabled the "BUY" buttons in a day, I wonder why it's taking them so long to re-enable the buttons now.
Meanwhile, you can find all my books, past and present, at BarnesandNoble.com, and the three most current one via Powells.
Just in case any of you were hit by an immediate, overwhelming urge to buy one of my books or something.
ETA: Blake Charlton, who was briefly in my writer's group (and is not only a lovely guy, a good critic, and a fine writer, but...wait for it...a Med student. At Stanford. Make me feel like a lie-about, whydoncha, Blake?) has it far worse than I do about the whole Amazon thing. His first book, Spellwright, is due out in a couple of weeks, and he's understandably anxious about what the lates "fail" will do to his sales. So anxious that the universe is talking to him. Go read it. It's funny. Then go order Blake's book from Powell's or somewhere.
