Unless you're the chef, then it's Cook and Be Thankful.

For health, for family, for friends, for good work and good fun, for all the fortune that I have in my life, I am thankful. That means you, too. I'm thankful we're all engaged in this huge conversation.

May your day be calm, delicious, and full of things to be thankful.

Well, maybe not, but...

The turkey turned out fine.
The Brussels sprouts were good enough that I just wanted to keep eating them. Fortunately there are leftovers.
Gluten-free stuffing was a little dry--next year I halve the recipe and increase the liquid. But S-i-L was pleased that there was stuffing she could eat.
Avocado liked the cherry pie. Ish*.
Spouse's mashed potatoes are amazing comme toujours.
Apple pie almost gone.

Everyone has gone home. Avocado has her traditional Thanksgiving illness (tonight: fever and aches. Better than the year when she threw up after laughing for an hour). Almost all the dishes are done. Turkey has yet to be disembowled and rendered into bits for later eating, but everything else is done.

Bery tired.

* She liked it, but thought it was too tart and different for Thanksgiving, and therefore scary. But she really liked the black diamond cheese we had before dinner.
