madrobins: It's a meatloaf. Dressed up like a bunny. (Default)
I had a dream last night, that I was staying at the country house of a friend--a very large, handsome place, with some fairly impressive security features. And people kept coming, and I had to keep turfing them out, increasingly emphatically, rolling down the security shutters, setting the alarms, etc. I kept saying I was about to leave, but my internal panic was that I had a book to finish and I needed them to go so I could finish it. I also felt a certain amount of physical threat from these people (it was always more than one person, and they were always completely deaf to "this isn't a good time," or even "you're going to have to leave now.") It was the first time in my 55-year career that I've ever had this dream.

Now, what could I be telling myself that I didn't already know?
