I love Tuesdays because Tuesday is Science Times day--the day when The NY Times has its Science/Medicine section. Today I learned (among other things) that 1) traditional concrete production leaves a huge carbon footprint (it's the way that cement, one of concrete's constituents, is made), but that 2) considerable research is being done to create concrete that not only uses industrial waste (thereby reducing said footprint), but 3) can actually "scrub" pollutants out of the air.

Which sounds kind of like something in, I dunno, a science fiction novel from my youth?

And in other news, in the arts section an NYC production of Hamlet is reviewed so glowingly that it's hard not to book a flight right now and go see it. And that Geoffrey Rush Exit the King I spoke of the other day, too.

Ah, well. Crossword puzzle is done. Time to do real work.
