Joyous Feast of the Sun's Return

Whatever your religious- or celebratory status, holiday-wise, isn't it nice to know that we're on the cusp of our orbit, heading back toward long summer, balmy days and the humming of contented wildlife outside the window? Okay, that's a fantasy-memory of summers in my childhood. But really, when my toes are cold and it's raining outside, it's heartening to know that the light is poised to return.
