madrobins: It's a meatloaf. Dressed up like a bunny. (Default)
The world appears to think it is going to hell in a handbag, and as there is nothing I can singlehandedly do to make it all better, I am going to take a shower, call the pediatrician to get an appointment for Avocado, who appears to have strep, and then try to get some work done.

And I think I'll stop looking at the newspaper for a few days. It's info-overload time, and if I can't do anything but vote in order to change things, and that not for a few weeks, I do best to keep my nose to the grindstone. There's always dinner to be got, and stories to tell.

Let me just say this: one should always be permitted to play with one's food. My teacher says when her kids were small she used to give them marzipan instead of Play-Doh for modeling. I think that's pretty cool.

You will note fruit (watermelon, pear, apple, a bunch of bananas, a peach, an apricot, a lemon, a lime, a tomato, a pumpkin, strawberry, apple) and vegetables (corn on the cob, carrots, cauliflower, green pepper, chile, gourd).

Sadly, all my family members are violently tree-nut allergic, which means that they cannot eat the goodies. More for me, I suppose.
