Lest you get the idea that I do nothing but go to the movies...well, yes, I do other things. But I saw Wall-E yesterday, and it's wonderful. True science fiction in the old sense--it's got ideas as well as scenery. I cried through the last twenty minutes (okay, I cry at lots of things, but I felt they'd earned my tears). It's wonderful. Wow: three good SF movies (or, say, one good SF movie and two good comic book movies) in one summer? And they haven't even shown The Dark Knight, which I would go to just for the cast alone.

Go see Wall-E. It's damned near perfect.

I've seen this meme damned near everywhere on my friends list, and as so often is the case, resistance has proved futile. So:

The meme is:
* Post 3 things you've done that you believe nobody else on your F-list has done.
* If anybody responds with "I've done that," add another thing.
* Encourage your friends to paste this into their own journal to list the unique things they've done.

Thing one:

* Talked to Leonard Nimoy about writing an introduction to an anthology of Classics Illustrated Comics I was going to edit (the line folded before we could start production on the book, alas).

* Worked as a typist-clerk in the basement of the Houses of Parliament, at the Thos. Cook travel offices there.

* Ghost-written articles on infant depression.

Anyone done any of this stuff?
