madrobinsLest you get the idea that I do nothing but go to the movies...well, yes, I do other things. But I saw Wall-E yesterday, and it's wonderful. True science fiction in the old sense--it's got ideas as well as scenery. I cried through the last twenty minutes (okay, I cry at lots of things, but I felt they'd earned my tears). It's wonderful. Wow: three good SF movies (or, say, one good SF movie and two good comic book movies) in one summer? And they haven't even shown The Dark Knight, which I would go to just for the cast alone.
