So one of the ways YG's school fundraises is to do KidsArt cards, a fundraiser where the children draw originals and they're made into black-on-ivory gift cards. Very nice. I am, of course, the coordinator; last year things went pretty smoothly; this year, not so much. Because a couple of people gave us unusable originals (in color, where they need black on white) the whole process was delayed, and the cards weren't shipped until December 13. Which would be fine, except that by the time the cards were delivered, school was closed.

There was no one there, and yet the delivery company got a signature and dumped the goods. Which makes me wonder just who has our $320 worth of gift cards. And if they've gone with the wind, who has to make the whole thing good? I can't afford to refund the money to the people at the school; the KidsArt folk sound like they think it's not their responsibility. Next stop: the delivery company.
