I haven't felt this good on a morning-after-an-election morning in a decade. Having the Democrats take back the House doesn't fix everything that's wrong in this country. The Democrats will founder and make mistakes; I just hope they don't make the same old tired mistakes the guys across the aisle have made. What this election says to me, more than anything else, is that the Party Line is no longer taken as gospel, that people are tired of so much of the divisive fear-mongering that has passed for public policy making in the last bunch of years. That's a good thing.

It was foggy and cold this morning, but now the sun's out and it's clear and shiny. Trying not to read too much into it.

From an ad for a new cable channel/website called Fear.net:
Fear.net. The most serial killers. The deadliest terror. Fear.net. Where fear is born. Victims Wanted.
Okay, I know where I'm not spending my evening.

Rumsfeld is resigning.
