Overheard an ad for a body wash that boasted that it was made with "cashmere extract." Immediately I had a vision of rows of ringers squeezing extract out of twinsets, but it appears that I was wrong:
I'm so relieved. But I'm glad I'm not a goat.
The formula of Softsoap® BRAND Pure Cashmere™ Body Wash is a unique formula which combines cashmere extract and a lipid complex that behaves like Ceramides. For healthy, radiant skin you need cell turnover. To get cell turnover you need actuve enzymes and for these enzymes to work you need a reservoir of moisture. Ceramides are lipids that are most effectuve holding that moisture.
What is in the Pure Cashmere™ formula that makes it "hydrate and soften even the driest skin"?
A specially formulated moisturizing cream which helps keep skin hydrated and soft.
What is cashmere extract and where does it come from?
Goats have two layers of hair. The inner layer of their hair is soft and is referred to as cashmere. Cashmere extract consist of proteins taken from this inner layer of goat hair.
In what form (i.e., oil, powder, etc.) is the cashmere extracted from the goat?
It is an oil that is extracted from the inner layer of goat hair. The goat hair is collected after shearing. No goats are harmed during this process.
I'm so relieved. But I'm glad I'm not a goat.
