SG went to a friend's birthday party (sixteen! They're all turning sixteen. It's a little scary). It was a costume party--originally the theme was, come as you hope you'll be in 16 years--or as you hope you won't be. Friend's stepmother, who poo-pooed the idea of a costume party unless the participants were five and in princess dresses, or it was Halloween, talked Friend out of the theme, so it was just a costume party. So SG went as a pirate, in my bucket boots, a pair of thin black silk pants, a billowy white satin shirt, my SFWA Musketeers hat (all of which are mine, and on loan), and a long black slim-cut suit coat that hung down to mid-thigh. With two belts, and my rapier slung through one of them, she was the most delicate, gorgeous, deadly pirate you ever say. Dread Pirate Sarcasm, at your service.
