Sometimes Motherhood requires the application of brute force of the being-there variety. Last night SG went into a complete cataclysmic tailspin over her AP Lit essay (upon which she had been working for three weeks, drafting and throwing out and drafting and throwing out), and so I stayed up with her last night until she finished at 4 am. I did do a little line editing, but mostly I was just here in case she needed a firmer hand than her own on the throttle.

I hope no one needs me to do anything useful today.
