I forgot to mention: the parking lots at Cal Expo (home of Raging Waters) have tall structures to shade the cars, which is a lovesome thing. Far more lovesome is that the surface of the shades are solar energy collection panels, and that they move during the day to track the sun, thus getting the maximum good, energy wise. The cells in the parking lot provide energy enough for the needs of 180 households in Sacramento. This is a drop in the bucket, certainly, but it's a start, and a very cool one.
