Okay, sometimes I have to remind myself that I'm moving forward, so here goes.

• Had the job interview yesterday.  I think it went okay, but I decided, based on the step down in salary, the horrid commute, and the fact that they really need someone with more recent development experience than I have, to withdraw my candidacy.  Seemed fair all around.


• I didn't make the pretzelized Parker House rolls until yesterday, but they turned out tasty.


• I have now done two stints of B-I-Nning Becca's room (B-I-N is the name of the noxious must-wear-protective-breathing-mask primer).  The room used to look like this:

• And as of today, after two hours and 2/5 of a can of B-I-N it looks like this:

I am contemplating going to the butcher to get beef shin bones to make a trial batch of my aunt's beef barley soup.  Or maybe I'll just fall over now.

ETA: butcher doesn't have shin bones today.  Ah, well.
