madrobins: It's a meatloaf. Dressed up like a bunny. (citibit)
[personal profile] madrobins
This morning (at 7:36 a.m. on a Sunday) I was awakened by my cell phone.  I had a call.  Since several of our family members are both older and in frailish health, and since Bec is out of town until this evening, the sound of an actual phone call wakes me right up.  It was a robo-call from "Bank of America."  In quotes, because I immediately didn't trust it.  First, the calling phone number was blocked.  Second, Robo-voice says "This is Bank of America. We regret to inform you that your debit card has been locked."  Say what? Also: my cell number is not the phone of record on that bank account, so why would they be calling at SEVEN THIRTY ON A SUNDAY MORNING?? (Pre-coffee I am not at my most charitable.)  When they asked me to press 1 to speak to a representative, I rang off.

Just called B of A.  Bogus.

They really do come at you from all angles, don't they?
