I have a secret fondness for old Romance comic books and "women's novels" from the first half of the 20th century. Admit it: how many people do you know who have not only seen the movie, but read the novel Now, Voyager? So when I came upon The Love of Julie Borel I had o have it.

Partly, I just love the cover--stylized, almost glowing. And partly, the copy is just too wonderful: "How a lovely girl overcame an ardent infatuation and learned to love her husband." They don't write 'em like that any more.
