madrobinsThis morning I was fine. This evening around five pm my nose started to run. By dinner time I was sneezing, too. Now the room is either too hot or too cold. I am swaddled up in a shawl in my bed, with a box of tissues and a cup of hot water. I'm really hoping this goes no farther; ringing out the old year with a cold was not my plan. On the other hand, the rest of the family appear to be healing from their various maladies. Did I mention that Emphatic Girl has had her cast removed? She can't skate for another two weeks, but (much to her chagrin) can now wash dinner dishes.
Update: between tea and crackers (courtesy of EG) in bed this morning, and taking it real easy, and ingesting quantities of zinc all day long, I seem to have dodged the bullet. Or maybe the bullet just decided to hide out until I wasn't paying attention, then pounce. I'm not getting rid of the zinc.
