berry_k, and got actual work done at Starbucks. The girls had an excellent time, and were only half an hour late coming out of the park. The traffic going north on 101 at 6pm was not as horrible as I'd feared. The dog, unwalked from 10-7, was urgently happy to see us, but had not fouled her nest (or the house). The girls took her to the park for half an hour to unwind her, the spouse went off and bought a new card for Avocado's camera (since she cannot find the computer cord with which to offload her current pictures), and I got to go out for a glass of wine and half a burger with klages.
Today: return rental car. Take duffles to UPS. Return Lands' End purchases that didn't work. Lunch withstevengould. Dog draggage. Pack for trip. Get Avocado to pack for the trip and finish tidying her room for the summer. And then, after dinner, off to SFO and the red eye.
I'm bringing my laptop with me, and will check in, depending on the availability of WiFi. But if you don't hear from me for a bit, it isn't because I don't love you, it's because, well: Life.
