Hey, Nineteen!

Nineteen years ago I spent May Day dancing a maypole in Central Park--despite being nine months pregnant. Then I went back to work and stayed late because I was prepping materials for Tor's sales conference. (I was determined to get everything done before I went on leave, mostly because I didn't want to have to make exhaustive lists of where everything was and what had yet to be done). The next day I rose and went in to work and got everything I needed to get done by 6:30 that night, and went home, ready to have a baby.
And, quite cooperatively, I woke at 7 the next morning in labor.
Sarcasm Girl--or should I call her Sarcasm Woman?--is nineteen today. There will be cake, and presents, and dinner out. I'm really quite ridiculously proud of her--but then, you all knew that.
