Which is to say, Becca got to Sarasota after a lovely trip. She met the Pie Lady of Pie Town, NM; she saw the Grand Canyon, and ate beignets at Cafe du Monde in New Orleans. She is happy to be back at school. I'm very proud of her.

I am putting together my cake making on the road kit (it appears that the cottage we're staying in doesn't have a mixing bowl. This must be remedied) and starting to pack. I have a 7am flight tomorrow, heading Spokane-ward, arriving (Gods willing) at 10:30 for a 1pm Book View Cafe kaffee klatsch. And then the real madness starts.

If you're in the neighborhood of Sasquan, come on by the Book View Cafe meet and greet on Friday night (8pm onward) at the Courtyard Marriot. There will be cake. If you can't make it, there will be photos of cake, which are likely less fattening (though less tasty as well, alas).
