Today my father-in-law turns 96.  He's not as spry as he used to be, but he's still funny and witty and sharp as a tack (as long as his hearing aid is turned on).  I kinda lucked out in the in-laws sweepstakes.

Prom Girl is Gorgeous
Here's the girl and her buddy Diego (aka, The Date) at the Shakespeare Garden in Golden Gate Park, before they went off to dinner before the prom.  She had a grand time, and came home all full of "I Could Have Danced All Night."  This is the dress with all the beads and sequins that had to be knotted down before I could shorten it (since it was made for a sylph who was 6 ft tall, rather than the household sylph who is 5' 7") and I am pleased to note that she told me emphatically that it was THE PERFECT LENGTH.  I told that to my shoulders.  They were gratified.
