Let There Be Cake. Again.
18/12/12 20:29I am, it is well known, a pushover. If there were a 12-step program for pushover parents, I would enroll.
Where is this going? Well, Avocado is going to Winter Ball, and as the head of the refreshment committee, she asked me to make cake. For 300. Which morphed (from necessity, if I didn't want to go out and buy more cake pans) into three cakes: three tiers (12", 10", 8"). Chocolate peppermint with pink fondant and candy canes; yellow cake with pale blue fondant and sanding sugar snowflakes; and red velvet with cream cheese frosting and a red and white fondant ribbon. The young are paying for materials, at least. And think of all the great practice I'm getting.
And then there will be Christmas. And someone left a bottle of Macallan 10 for us at the party, so there will be that, too.
