Wow.

There are things that should not work (the multiple casting is a touch distracting at the beginning; the transitions between times and storylines is a touch distracting at the beginning) but the performances are good, the distractions ceased to distract after a little while, and it delivers a satisfying story(ies) without neatly tying everything up in a bow. Visually stunning and thoughtfully made. Wow.

And Hugo Weaving wins for most startling make-over (among many, many startling make-overs).

I made it pretty nicely through about mid-day today, and was going to come back and do the kitchen after a trip to the Apple Store for a new power cord. Instead I came back surveyed the kitchen, and retired to my room.

Washing the floors is a "zip through the house like the wrath of God with a mop and bucket" thing. The kitchen stuff is more time consuming--I think it was the thought of cleaning the cabinets that stalled me. And some of the tasks (taking the hard drives out of the old computers) are Danny specific.

Maybe tomorrow? After work?
