madrobins: It's a meatloaf. Dressed up like a bunny. (Default)
I'm waiting for my (fog-delayed) flight to LA, to spend the weekend with my darling Aunt Julie. There have been some health problems in the family lately, and the overthrow that has caused to her household order has only been compounded by construction on three sides of their home: sewer work in front of the house, and work on the freeway just a little way farther on, and new construction on either side of her house. It seems to me entirely reasonable that she'd be feeling a little, well, flustered.

So I'm going down to de-fluster her a little, or at least lend a hand where I may. Meanwhile, tomorrow is Danny's birthday, so I took him out to dinner last night (pork tenderloin in sage, capers, and mustard...Oh My God). Which means tomorrow he and Avocado can have a Daddy-Daughter celebration, which is a fine thing.

More as I have it.
