Poor Ear

Emily has been yipping if her right ear is touched, for a few days now. Investigation last night found a pocket of fluid near the tip of the ear, exquisitely sensitive. Potching about on the Internet suggested that it is a hematoma; and that, if it were to burst, it could be bad. So Unfed Dog and Spouse are on their way to the emergency vet's. Unfed dog was not certain whether to be excited ("Yay! Ride in the car! Best day ever!") or disgruntled ("Yay! No breakfast! Wait. What?"). Despite the ear issue she is in every other respect her cheery, high-energy doggish self. I await reports.
