Got my first major deadline behind me at work. Given that I am not creating anything in this job--my job is really more to be the small, yappy Terrier that follows along behind, nipping at people's heels--this feels really good. I bought beer for the team working on that book (okay--many of us don't drink beer, but it was a Friday afternoon, and we all congregated in the kitchen and toasted our milestone).

Now onward to the many, many other deadlines in my future. And more small-yappy-terrierlike behavior. It's a dirty job, but exhilarating.
