Was annoying. It should have been much better--I'm not opposed to stupid fun movies; I like stupid fun movies that have an emotional core. And there were good bits. But in the first ten minutes they lost me with stupid, and I couldn't recover enough to be entertained thereafter.

That said, Andy Serkis's performance as Caesar was brilliant, and John Lithgow was very sweet as James Franco's Alzheimers-stricken father.
