If you're planning on hitting FogCon this weekend, maybe I'll see you there? My schedule:

How to Destroy Your City And Enjoy The Wreckage

The ruins of Southern California in Tim Powers' *Dinner at Deviant's
Palace*; the artistic mutations of San Francisco in Pat Murphy's *The City
Not Long After* -- what fun can we have with the wreckage of a city? What
is left over after the apocalypse, and what begins after it? Consider the
ruined city months, years, centuries later: What threats and promises will
the crumbling metropolis of the past offer to the survivors?

Friday, 9:30-10:45 P.M.

Madeleine Robins, Pat Murphy, Jeff VanderMeer, Gary Kloster, Elwin Cotman
(I am so looking forward to this one...)

I Have Written The Greatest Story Ever...

...No wait, it sucks. It's horrible. Oh, it's genius! Wait--AUUUGH! Sound
familiar? Many writers report that they love and hate their
writing--sometimes both on the same day. Get some tips on how to cope
with the emotional rollercoaster of the writing life.

Saturday, 1:30-2:45 P.M.

Daniel Marcus, Lisa Eckstein , Madeleine Robins, Jason Ridler

And (oh, ridiculousness of it all) I'm reading from 8-9:15 on Saturday night. Very likely from the new Sarah Tolerance. If I get a more targeted time within that frame I'll post it (I'm reading with two other people...)

And beyond that, as Joni Mitchell says: If you want me, I'll be in the bar.

Had an old colleague from Acclaim Comics over for dinner tonight. Stuffed shells, bread, salad, and lemon cake with blueberry sauce.

Sadly, I suspect I will eat again. But it was gooooood.

And all the dishes are done and put away.
