I have finished proofing and formatting the scan of my first book, Althea, preparatory to posting it on Book View Café. It was a humbling experience (as I've said, ad nauseum), but it was also kind of sweet and encouraging: I learned a lot writing a book I had no expectation of selling, and went on to write books I like better.

Now it is off to be proofed by someone who hasn't been soaking in it, and then to the e-formatting.

Whew. A book is (re)born.

This week Book View Café brings Nancy Jane Moore's novella Changeling, back to print.

All her life, Maggie Hines has dreamed of a city quite unlike Wichita Falls, Texas, where she lives. Her parents have always denied the city exists, but as she comes of age she finds her way there and discovers the truth about herself and her family.

A coming of age story. Not about faeries.
