I have 13 and a half really good, solid chapters of the new Sarah Tolerance. Just finished reading them, tweaking bits and pieces here and there, but really: it's in good shape. Hell, it's fun.

And I know where it's going and how all parties end up in both the main plot and the subplots. And I know much of what has to happen in that stretch between what I've got and where I end up. But there are some logistical decisions to be made, and my brain (addled by antibiotics and continuing jaw pain) is not entirely cooperating with the spinning of connective tissue. So I'm going to go finish up my proof-reading job and listen to the roofers eating lunch and playing cards.

Still, it's nice to see that there's something there. The rest is chutes, ladders, and hackney carriage rides.

I've been on antibiotics since Friday. Until late in the day on Sunday things were completely improving. Since then, not so much (I made the mistake of having an ice pop, which seems to have shut down the whole left side of my face). There's obviously some sort of infection--glands are tender in addition to the radiating pain (which seems to hop from upper to lower jaw, not quite centering on a specific tooth). I really want this not to be a tooth going downhill and requiring a root canal at a point where I've maxed out my insurance. However, what I really want is not to be hurting.

Oh dammit well.
