While You Were Out...
1/9/10 12:37Fifty eight email messages. Do I even know that many people?
Am home. Feet are elevated. First in a cycle of 20 minutes on-20 minutes off icing has begun. I have a light collation to counterbalance the effects of the painkillers, and the dog is keening gently at my side ("what do you mean you're not taking me to the park? MEAN!"). I think I'm going to turn on the TV and doze.
I have to say, the quality of care at CPMC was pretty damned impressive. Everyone was friendly and professional, practically my favorite combination. My favorite piece of medical tech this time? Heated disposable hospital gowns! No kidding. When I got into the OR they piped in warm air into the gown to keep me nice and toasty.
Carry on.
